Hello all, I have been hanging around this sub, reading and agreeing with most of the posts here, which has got me thinking, why is modern feminism the way that it is? Why do many feminists think it is ok for them to mistreat men (even if they don't think that they are)? well, I have come up with a theory about this, the problem is that feminism has succeeded in what it was created for. Feminism was created at a time when women were second-class citizens, they couldn't vote, couldn't join the army, and most men felt that a woman's only role should be to serve her husband. So a group of women came together and decided that they wanted to change things, they wanted to vote, and they wanted to be seen as equal to men in everything. Well they succeeded, they are now able to vote, and have been able to for almost 100 years (94 to be exact), and the vast majority of people see them as equal to men, or at least feel that they should be. Now the problem is they refuse to admit that they succeeded, feminists refuse to believe, or admit, that women are equal to men. And because of this they demand more rights, they demand that rights be taken away from men, they are trying to fix something that has already been fixed. Feminism was needed at the time it was created 94 years ago, but time has passed and feminism has gotten old, so it is time that feminists celebrate their victory, hold up their hands and celebrate the equality they share with men. Sorry this is so long winded, I just had this thought and wanted to see what you guys thought. Don't be afraid to comment or anything with whatever your thoughts are on this! tl;dr: feminsits act the way that they do because they are fighting for rights they already have, they refuse to admit that women and men are mostly equal
