Very true. The male = perpetrator; female = victim narrative means that if a man and woman do the exact same thing, the woman gets people making excuses for her and the man gets condemned for supposedly perpetuating Patriarchy and misogyny

Neither the actual act committed nor the excuses made really matter. Even if a man does something relatively small (like "manspread"; or wear a shirt with scantily clad women on it), feminists will find some silly thing to complain about. Even if a woman does something horrible (like drug and rob men; or kidnap, rape, and murder a man), feminists will come up with some excuse for her

I always thought that being drugged meant you were no longer capable of consent but seeing people always say well they consented before she drugged them always rubs me up the wrong way. Disgusting

You are correct. Feminists and everyone who believes in a patriarchy does exactly that.

Indeed, if you challenge the belief of the patriarchy, it's like telling a 4 year old Santa doesn't exist. Patriarchy believers need the patriarchy myth, because it enables them to feel like they are the higher moral authority. It gives them a "justified" reason to hold a grudge and it makes their sexism seem like "justice".

Point out the patriarchy is a myth and watch them throw a tantrum. They literally can't hear you because the patriarchy myth is just too "valuable" (even though it makes them miserable) to give up.
