This does not refer specifically to this forum, but I would value you guys' opinions. Plus, suicide is a topic totally relevant to men's rights since so many more men kill themselves than women. On some forums, I notice they have a policy against anyone posting anything to the effect of they intend to commit suicide or they're considering it. The person's post will get deleted and they may be banned. I'm not so sure that's a good idea. On any forum where I've ever seen a suicide post, I'll immediately answer something to the effect of, "This forum is not the best place to seek help. Please call Suicide Crisis immediately", and then I post their number. In case they're not from North America, I let them know to Internet search whatever the suicide help line is in their country. To me it seems to make more sense to immediately refer someone to professional who knows what they're doing instead of deleting, banning, and pretending like it never happened. I'm curious about other people's views.

Note: This is not an attempt to change whatever the policies are here at MensRights. I'm mainly just interested in the opinions of other men.
