Good comment on how some single moms behave in order to demonize the father and emotionally abuse their children

This happened to a friend of mine. It took him until he was about 24 to meet and establish a relationship with his father. He and his father now have a wonderful relationship, but it took quite a bit to break through all the ridiculous nonsense he had been told about him.

Oh, his father never knew he existed. His mother never told him and moved across the country.

Thank you for including "some" in the title; while my ex-wife and I don't always see eye to eye, we make it a point to NEVER demonize each other in the eyes of our kids. We have, however, on occasion been discussing something one of our kids did and will slyly slip a "those are YOUR genes, by the way" into the conversation. Sometimes it's a race to see who can get to it first but it's NEVER malicious.

That being said, it sucks the big hairy ones that this actually occurs. :/
