I’ve had a couple of occasions in my 30s where an older woman (both times in their 50s and both in work environments), without encouragement from me, put their hand on the top of my thigh with their fingers definitely going inside the thigh. It made me feel very uncomfortable and like a piece of meat. The first was a boss of mine. It was a Christmas party with the team. It was the sort of environment (loud restaurant) where someone could do this without being noticed. I’m not confrontational in those situations so just didn’t do anything And acted like it didn’t happen. I was also very naive. I should really have made a stink about it, although the all female group probably would have laughed. The other time was a colleague who was training me. We were side by side working at the desk and out of nowhere she just grabs the top of my thigh. it was very inappropriate. Both times I feared losing my job so didn’t speak out against it. Anyone else here had similar?
