I believe it depends on the doctor as to whether men need consent from their wives to get a vasectomy. It's not a state/federal/city law.

I don't think it's 'consent', if it is then I'd like to see some evidence too. I think it's just a standard form that a spouse signs for any surgery for legal liability.

You might also check up on pharmacists who refuse to sell Plan B to male customers. It's a similar issue.
