I don't know where else to post this as I am new to Reddit, but figured this was worth a shot.

A friend of mine is in dire need of legal help due his soon to be Ex-wife screwing his life over bad. I'm hoping some of you might be able to help him as this is disgustingly horrible.

Background:

In early October he was arrested and sent to county jail over false claims of domestic abuse. I want to make this perfectly clear, these are entirely false and fabricated claims. However she, being a sheriff in training, knew how to use the system to get him incarcerated without any evidence. 0. None. No scratches or bruises. She even refused the medical check up. However, police took her side, despite lack of evidence and sent him to county. He was released on Bond the following day with a restraining order against her. She took the 2 sons with her to her parents which is what is hurting him the most.

Fast forward a couple weeks and the DA is refusing to file any charges due to lack of evidence. Child Protection Services is also clearing him of any wrong doing as there is no evidence and after talking to the 2 sons, ages 4 and 1, they found the kids to be perfectly safe.

Early November, he had to appear in court before a judge to determine the status of the restraining order. My friend had obtained a lawyer to help him, but the lawyer had planned a trip outside a state, so instead left him with 3 pages worth of defense.

To be honest, both of us were confident the restraining order would be dropped, as again there was 0 PROOF. ZERO.

For some reason, the female judge, not only decided to side with the wife, but went hard on him. She established a 1 year restraining order against him for her AND the 2 sons, despite total lack of evidence.

Now this is where it gets even more disgusting and heartbreaking. Not only is he innocent of any wrong doing, he is actually a victim of domestic violence, by his wife. He has multiple videos of her hitting, scratching, choking, and one where they are arguing after she cut him with a knife. In some of these the oldest son was present.

He didn't present these videos in court because he didn't have them available at the time and because he was hoping she would come to her senses, but after 2 months of her outright refusing to cooperate, he finds himself in a bad place.

I've come here to the MRA forums in hopes that someone might be able to provide legal help/ aide to my friend, as he already finds himself paying the 5000$ bond as well as other lawyer fees. Any help would be great at this point, but especially help from a criminal attorney as he is now seeking to press charges for the abuse in an effort to obtain custody of his kids as well as help in dropping the restraining order that currently prevents him from seeing them. He is located in Southern California.

If anyone can point him in the right direction as well in regards to how to proceed with this, he would totally appreciate this.
