The academic theories which define modern feminism would not stand up to scrutiny if an evidence-based approach was employed; therefore it cannot be expected that such an approach will ever be taken. Feminism is an advocacy group acting on behalf of women, and much like a labor union, it's interested in negotiating the best deal for those it represents; not necessarily the fairest deal for all parties.

I'd love to see more evidence-based feminism. Unfortunately the official feminist lobby groups and most of the academics will be extraordinarily resistant to such a thing.

Dunno. I think evolutionary psychology is a load of shit to be honest. How the fuck would you conduct an experiment to prove or disprove an hypothesis? I don't believe you can reduce complex behaviour to a genetic cause.
