We mods rely on the users of this sub to report rules violations. We can't see everything.

Dropping a link without your opinion does suck but other than that...it's fine, I don't think people need to say ' Figured I would share this article that counters the popular Women are wonderful effect' every time they post a female criminal story. We all get it, women can be criminals too and we don't need to be told all the time. If new people can't figure out why something is posted, they can ask.

You're antagonistic about it. While you have a point that posts would be more comprehensive if they included everything from the opinion of op and similar cases and a whole PowerPoint of facts and statistics to prove they are right, that is simply more effort than most people are willing to put for little benefit. We all have access to Google, and can do our own research. We also all have a similar viewpoint in which the opinion of the op should be fairly obvious.

The large majority of posts are intended to raise awareness and build up the evidence each member of the sub has to the overall points that make up the whole reason men's rights are in need of activism. We are all fairly aware of the limited impact we have in a subreddit dedicated to our own movement as very few who do not already share our views are visiting here. We can use this sub to direct others to evidence, the only posts that hinder the purpose of this sub are those that would push away a person who holds other, valid viewpoints such as feminists who advocate for women's issues.

We can not become what we exist to combat: a movement that focuses so much on our own issues that we create a hate for all others. We should promote acceptance of those willing to meet us where we can advocate for men and women's rights, as that grants us much more power than ignoring and frivolizing all other issues and concerns.

Conversations about men's rights should also be able to lead into conversations about women's rights and how advocacy between the two can interact. Conversation about men's rights should be able to stem into issues the black community faces, especially regarding the men of the black community. It should be able to stem into any kind of conversation, even ones that aren't very productive. By limited our posts and conversation to cut and dry 'here is evidence of my opinion, which is x, and is supported by y and z,' we severely limit the influence we can have and the dynamic evolution of the movement as growing concerns arise and adapt.

Also, something that I noticed is more of the women being sentenced for a crime posts, but nothing about how it's a men's rights issue. I'd suggest that if you are looking at posting this type of thing, that you look for a similar case in the same geographic area where a man got a harsher sentence and post that for comparison.

I find these type of posts so frustrating. Sentencing varies wildly based on so many factors that don't appear in a news article. As you noted jurisdiction is a big one also. You just can't compare U.S. sentences to those in the U.K. for example. But there are also so many other factors. Previous convictions, employment history, educational background, participation in drug, alcohol, anger management, counseling, mitigating factors, engaging in community service, compliance with bail conditions, etc. Plus of course who dropped the dime on who.

Most of the time it will be comparing apples to oranges.

I post quite a few of these to Wiki4men. The reason is to track them over time and put a human face on the biases in the judicial system.

Report them as spam I actually think that the mods have every right to hand out temp bans at the very least because most of the time these people are either spamming on other subs as well or they simply didn't bother checking the new tab and are just doing shitty reposts where they've put their opinion in the title.

I've seen you about EvilLothar and honestly don't even bother responding to them. Just report them and move on, if people reply to these shit posts then they're going to bump them up and give them attention. It's getting so bad now I would have probably gone on a deleting spree and banning spree a long time ago until these people learn their lesson, I think the mods are well within their rights to do a crackdown.

Interestingly for me at least, more often than not the worst posts are often by people who haven't even posted in this sub once before hand, they've just gone and made a topic out of nowhere.

Yes, everyone explain themselves to the op, and justify every post and comment with a 200 word essay to prove your worth to him, it, or whatever.
Obey him. He is in charge now. Do as he says or you may be labelled low quality by him.
