You never have to give your seat or any type of help to women. They don’t owe you anything OP. If they really request and be grateful and respectful that is different case. This misandrists pieces of Sh*t are not some Queens. It’s for your own safety you don’t have to talk to these women. Except our family or partner.

Chivalry was accommodation and deference towards the physically weaker sex.

If they want equality as they claim, why would women even want chivalry? That was men shielding women from some of the harshness of the world.

I used to always offer my seat to a lady, open doors etc. However, a couple of years ago I really started to notice something. At least here, men were the ones who said "Cheers mate" or along those lines and would maybe even crack a joke when holding a door open. However, women at best would give you a half arsed thank you. It started to hit me. Women expect this where as men are more grateful for the gesture. So now, older ladies I will open the door for (the elderly generally tend to be way more polite) and men. I just don't do it for the majority of women anymore.

I barely go out of my way for female relatives, so I don't do shit for strangers unless they are clearly infirm and in need.

Being a woman isn't enough of a qualifying factor to be "in need" in my view.

I've never seen a man get appreciated for being chivalrous. I used to hold doors open for girls but they normally walk through without even a simple "thanks". I'm with the OP. I used to be chivalrous. Helped defend a girl who got smacked by her dude. But women are self-entitled and don't appreciate it so what's the point?

Women wanted equality, they get equality. Women are strong and independent and don't need special treatment. Simple as that. As an egalitarian, I don't think there is anything wrong with you.

The only women I am chilivalrous towards are my mother, my sister and really old woman. And when I say really old I mean they have the hunchback type old.

I completely agree, I wont do that for a stranger wether its a man or a women, for my friends and family I will do it gladly, and I do not owe anyone something simple like opening the door or leaving the seat.

And neither am I, especially because many people (especially women and simp men) still define chivalrous as do special treatments to women that you do less or even do not do to your fellow men. Off course I don't do that, doesn't mean I am not good person. The same with I don't do/give special treatment to white people in general more THAN non-white people in general.
