Because in the young, generic dating game ( hetero ), women's physique is valued while a man's income is valued. This is often reflected in women showing off their bodies, while men display their worth via brand names, vehicles, restaurant choices, ect...
Mind you, we're discussing group behaviors here, so nothing can really be drawn to explain individual traits.

But we're equal? Right?
Please tell me we're equal, bro.

Who're you calling bro, friend?
I'm not sure I see how you're trying to apply "equality" to this situation. Are men and women the same? Is that your idea of equality? Then no, obviously not. Do men and women pursue dating goals the same? No.
Are they free to utilize whatever method they favor in pursuit of their dating goals? Yes, of course, so in that they're equal.

Bullshit. Feminists have been complaining about men testing women as objects for decades. Yet all around I see women parcelling themselves up for the make gaze. Wtf?
Plainly they're not equal. Women hold all the power and no one is calling feminists on it. This is bullshit. Mensrights bullshit. Afraid of beyond called red pill.
Red pill are right about this. Why don't we just admit it.
Add things stand, men are not equals in the dating game.

Ah. Social equality then.
Not my area of interest. Why? Because the inequalities you reference are due to personal choices. Men choose to submit themselves to that inequality. I won't question their choices, or suggest I know better than they. Agency and all that.
I'll just choose my own way and avoid the entire mess.

No. It's nature you fuck. Choices are after nature has taken course. Men and women are different by nature and feminists won't acknowledge it and you're colluding with them.
Not my area my ass.

Speaking of asses, you might want to look in yours for your head.
You can choose whatever dating strategy you want. You can choose to avoid dating altogether ( the sanest and healthiest option in my opinion ). You have agency, same as anyone else, no one is forcing you to do anything.
Therefore, you are nothing more than an SJW throwing a tantrum because the world doesn't work like you want it to.

Nah, from reading this he is a member of TRP hoping to justify his thoughts and feelings in here. Unfortunately, that will not happen. Acting overly aggressive and trying to bait people into taking a baited argument is just ridiculous. Fuck off back TRP.

I'd be a bit more discerning of I were you.

Lol. I looked up my ass and there it was. How did you know?
[–]aussietoads 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Sure, we're all equal. But the next question is : equal to what?
[–]InBaggingArea[S] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Each other

Which is all fine and dandy, but which OTHER will be the universal equality standard? E.G. I think I'd contemplate suicide if my attainment of equality was to be equal to a Cultural Offence Warrior, or COW for short.
[–]InBaggingArea[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I can't make sense of this.
[–]aussietoads 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Well I can't make sense of Cultural Offence Warriors (aka SJW's) so I don't particularly want equality with them. After all, it seems to me, that would be a step down, not a step up.

Slightly o/t yet nonetheless relevant: The Politics of Cleavage by Bettina Arndt

I thank the good splodge for his linked video which I am now viewing.
Yes, there's much to agree with there and that's the sort of thing I'm talking about, yet I don't agree with everything and at the same time the treatment of the issue doesn't seem to go far and deep enough.
The underpinning biology that arendt alludes to ripples through all our social sex-roles and the question of a casual link is completely overlooked within prevailing orthodoxy.

Men are valued as success objects. Women are valued as sex objects. All of that stuff needs to change for the betterment of both sexes.
[–]ifelsedowhile 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
men and women have different sexual behaviors and that influences our dress code.
No kidding.
