I just recently learned about this movement (of course, it's not widely covered), and although they fell short of their goals (only 56% of men had the vote by 1884), it's amazing they got more than 3 million signatures (3.5 million on the third one), and really paved the way for democracy later on!

In June 1839, the Chartists' petition was presented to the House of Commons with over 1.25 million signatures. It was rejected by Parliament. This provoked unrest which was swiftly crushed by the authorities.

I believe this is the Newport Rising led by John Frost. A dozen or more chartists were killed, the leaders were convicted of treason, and sentenced to be hanged, drawn, and quartered. (later commuted to transportation).

Swiftly crushed, indeed...

Thanks for pointing this out! This shows just how entitled men really were. They pretend like all men were royalty. The dishonesty and stupidy of feminists really know no bounds. I guess you do need to be stupid to believe in their core beliefs because they make absolutely no sense.
