This is literally one of my jobs in my country. An advocacy group to make the courts and the Klingons recognise parental alienation, and to separate the financial responsibility from the father’s relationship with his children. It’s fucking despicable when a mother won’t let the father see his children if he owes her any money. One should have zero impact on the other. We are getting closer. But there is definitely a change in the way judges decide nowadays. They don’t just rule that a SAHM can continue that way, they don’t accept the same standard of living. Some are quite brutal and tell women that they are going to be working again and two households are way more expensive to run so they better get used to smaller. If anyone starts a pattern of dragging the other constantly back to court over petty shit, they will often shut it down. And there is a law here that the primary guardian cannot just move across country for work or a new relationship, if the other parent doesn’t agree. Of course there are shitty judges and devious lawyers, but it’s changing. The other recommendation is a short shelf life for therapists in charge of reviewing abuse cases. They become hyper vigilant and start to see anything as abuse. So they shouldn’t stay in that position indefinitely.
