Yes they focus on certain black men. That's how any movement works. Focus on certain egregious examples first to get attention for their cause. Get attention, and build on that. The instances that are mentioned clearly aren't the only ones. This in itself makes the movement even more important.

Sounds like you've fallen into the same misunderstanding, that saying 'Black lives matter' means ONLY black lives. No, it started this way because there were a lot of high profile cases where blacks were being treated unjustly. It is a way to say hey, these lives matter. Don't think negatively about them because they are black.

To be opposed to something because certain names aren't mentioned too is misguided. It's not exclusionary. It's using actual high profile cases along with an easy to remember rallying cry to get a lot of attention. Again, that's how any movement like this starts.

We keep hearing of blacks as the 13%, right. So black men should be only 13% of those killed.

while that's a seductive statistic, it's completely invalid as it ignores literally everything that matters except race.

It treats "police killings" as an environmental hazard, but it's not. there's a finite number of police officers who are killing citizens, and white men are killed 2x more often than black men, and more often than all other races combined. It's simply not intellectually honest if 10 police officers kill 10 white men and 3 black men, to then say that it's a race problem.

Plus, this idea presents "likelihood of being killed by police" as a cross cross population problem, without regard for "encounters with police", crimes committed, or even if the killings were justifiable.

If black men were more likely to be unlawfully killed by police than white men, that would be a valid statistic. But good like finding any unbiased numbers on that.

You know for ever 2% of the black population that’s killed 10% of the white population is killed but for the sake of arguement let’s say that the same amount of lives are lost or more black people are killed you know what I think? Are you implying that the policemen and women's jobs are to kill innocent people because of the color of their skin? I know they are bad and I am glad that I don't understand them completely cause I wouldn't be able to survive in a bad gang. Some "gangs" don't even have weapons its just a group of people that call themselves a gang. In Scooby-Doo mystery incorporated Fred called his team a gang all they did was track down criminals. It may not be real but its still a good example. Many biker gangs are considered dangerous, and yet we have examples of them doing amazing things for their communities. Also Tamir Rice an African American age 12 was killed because he had a toy gun. The cops have reportedly not imminently killed others with actual guns they tell them to put them down. He killed that 12 not 15 year old child in just 2 seconds after arriving on the scene. Loehmann (the officer) then tackled Rice's 14 not 15 year old sister to the ground and handcuffed then put her into his car. One death does not balance out another. There shouldn't be a rather be in a frying ban than in the fire. Why want something less bad when there could be nothing bad at all. Or at least the hope of it rather than setting.

I disagree. BLM just recently started targeting the police, they started targeting the numerous white male cop on black male/female shootings. What it was originally about was getting equilibrium between all races. Just like how feminism didn't have such a bad rap until the extreme ones came out and then they got publicity and the ones that just want to get equal pay and not be stereotyped so much got little to none. BLM isn't perfect nothing is. They aren't the ones blowing up cars. They're the ones following Martin Luther King Jr.'s example and having peaceful protest. Some of which result in people being unlawfully tasted, beaten, and arrested for voicing out their opinions in the so called "land of the free" . But again everyone is entitled to their option so you believe what you want and I will believe in what I want. Tbh there is most likely no corruption or group or any gathering that is purely focused on the good of the world.

I agree that once evidence is brought to light that leaves no reasonable doubt of a person being a rapist, they should be killed. As far as I can tell, nobody here is condoning actual rape. And I agree, when someone does actually get raped, it should be as easy as possible to come forward and find justice.

However, the fact remains that fraudulent accusations of not just rape but nearly any crime do happen. And all too frequently with no consequence for the people who make those allegations.

Concerning the matter of why people don't believe people who come forward with allegations of rape, I should point out the presumption of innocence is a thing for a reason. If any accusations are being made, it's the moral duty of everyone who hears them to make sure there's no reasonable doubt of those accusations being true before they actually do anything. In some states, a jury that decides to convict an innocent person of certain crimes is sending an innocent person to die. Even in the places where the worst is a life sentence, that's still a life behind bars. Even if it's later proven this person was wrongfully convicted, and even if the government goes above and beyond to compensate this person for the time they languished behind bars, that's still suffering inflicted upon an innocent person. You can't restore lost time, you can't raise the dead, and you can't restore someone's balls once they've been castrated. So it's the moral duty of everyone who hears allegations of any kind to make sure they are absolutely truthful before they act on those allegations.

There's also the increasing flagrance with which the word rape can be blatantly misused. If you want rape victims to be taken more seriously, people who say "you can rape someone without touching them" or "I said yes to sex but the sex was still rape" need to be shut down and held accountable for not only the men who have had to suffer as a result of those statements but also the women who can't be taken seriously when they try to come forward.

And where are you getting the "90 percent goes unreported" figure? If it's going unreported, then how would it be included in any statistic? This isn't me trying to debunk your argument entirely, I genuinely do not understand how something that isn't being reported can be included in any statistic.
