I'm not talking about online comment boards. I'm talking about male judges, politicians, business leaders, school board members, school employees, etc. Public figures and men who publicly belittle these crimes.

Also this "research" sounds odd. You're talking about women "larping" as men, so clearly not talking about a study where people showed up in-person to discuss this or a data review where researchers reviewed public statements made by men and women. It sounds like a review in which researchers tracked the owners of online accounts who made such comments, which means they either illegally tracked IP addresses to find the actual individuals in-person, or they spoke to them online which means those people could just as easily be men saying "I'm actually a woman pretending to be a man". Either way it doesn't exactly sound credible...

Here, I found a literature review that sounds similar to what you're describing. It's a PDF so I can't link the full article, but the study is called "Perceptions of male victims in depicted sexual assaults: A review of the literature" by Michelle Davies and Paul Rogers. "It is the case that men also blame male rape victims more than women do, regardless of the rape situation"

"Even when the victim was unconscious, men were still more blaming than women were. Further to studies looking specifically at blame judgments, men also have less sympathy with male victims, and consider the assault less severe than women do"

"Moreover, in some situations, men blame male rape victims more than they do female victims"

"They found that male victims of sexual assault by female perpetrators were considered more likely to have encouraged the episode and to have derived sexual pleasure from it than was the case for men who were victims of other males. This difference was particularly pronounced for male respondents (47% said that the sexual assault of a man by a woman was pleasurable for the victim, compared with a figure of 9% for the female respondents)."

"Scenarios involving a male victim were not considered any more or less serious than those involving a female victim. However, the gender of the observer did have a significant impact on seriousness scores: Male participants rated the incident of child sexual abuse as less serious compared to female participants"

"Male observers rated abuse perpetrated by female offenders as significantly less serious than did female observers"

"We compared seriousness scores across levels of the observer gender variable for participants who had read a vignette featuring a male victim (and a female offender). Our results showed a significant effect of observer gender, with men who were exposed to a hypothetical female offender-male victim pairing rating the offence as less serious than women under the same conditions"

I'm going to ignore the fact that I haven't even seen your study and assume that it exists and says exactly what you claim:

If 100 studies are conducted on the same thing and 99 of them agree, does that mean the 1 outlier is right and the other 99 are wrong?

Every single study on the subject says exactly the same thing: men are more likely to belittle the seriousness of rape, even when the victim is a man or a child.

Are you seriously telling me that it's more important to prove your bias than to actually try to create change for male victims? Like ffs get your priorities straight here!

Men are more likely to believe in and contribute to the myths surrounding male rape victims. Our judges and lawmakers are overwhelmingly male. That has a serious impact on the severity of sentences for female abusers, the comfortability that men and boys feel reporting, and the likelihood of female offenders receiving no consequences. We can't change anything if we keep arguing whether that's true or not - it is.

The draft used gender neutral language for the wording of the law, but nothing else about it was gender neutral.

The rest of the document stated clearly that the proposal was based on the "responsibility of the state to ensure women's safety". Literally the commission's entire proposal was "stalking laws need to be updated and stalking should be an non-bailable crime bc women specifically are in danger". That proposal and reasoning was what was supported.

This isn't a case of "everyone agreed it was completely gender neutral and then the feminists showed up to rain on that parade". It's a case of "everyone agreed it was an issue for women and then they drafted the final language of the law to match that".

Also, are we really saying that lawmakers and leaders have no responsibility to be neutral if women are protesting about it? The final product is the responsibility of the people who wrote and approved it. They are the ones to direct anger at.

I'm sorry to tell you that, but by this gender-swapped definition of rape in India, you, my friend, haven't been raped. You see, by this gender-swapped definition, men can't rape and there are thus no women in India being raped. Therefore there are shit tons more male victims than female. By, again, sorry for being a broken record here, the gender-swapped version of the Indian definition.

I guess I can't claim it's the same where I live now because the definition where I live is gender-neutral. Gender-swapping a gender-neutral definition still leaves it gender neutral. Lucky me for living in such a place I suppose.

Depends on which study you find and where you look.

For instance, looking at prison staff on inmate rapes in US prison, the lowest estimate I could find is 60 female staff/40 male staff. Highest I could find was 90/10. Mind you, this is despite women making only 5% of prison staff. This is interesting in that I hope you have to go through a background check to work in a prison, which should weed out the people most prone to raping...

In fact, even taking the lowest numbers (60%), and taking the lowest ratio of staff perpetrated versus everything else rapes, considering inmates outnumber staff 5-to-1, and male staff outnumber female staff 19-to-1, this suggests female staff (background checks, and so on meant to weed out the bad apples) are more likely to rape than prison inmates (all of whom have been convicted of a crime).

This is particularly interesting in that it suggests that a female sample that should be curated for being least likely to commit this sort of abuse is apparently more prone to raping than a sample of males that should be curated for being most likely to commit this sort of abuse, is nothing but staggering.

And I use "should be curated for" since people like you are unwilling to believe that women would rape men. Not only that, but you are defending people whom are opposing making the definition gender-neutral and telling us, and I quote, "Don't act like men are hard done by with laws surrounding rape (that explicitly refuse to call it rape when women do it to men)".

I mean, is it possible that maybe, laws that say "it's not rape if a woman uses a gun, drugs, blackmail/extortion, (and feel free to add any I've missed) to force a man to have sex with her" might possibly be shielding female rapists and allow them to get away with more? Have you considered than you, yes *you\*, might be shielding female rapists? And that sadly, you're not the only ones and large, well-funded organizations have been very active in shielding other female rapists? Considering just how many people are willing to shield female rapists, I'd expect to see more than a 50/50 split based only on the fact they're free to operate as they damn please.

And again, I note you haven't even touched with a 10 foot pole the case presented to you of a young boy whose sister has admitted she forced him to have sex with her, an act that sees him accused of rape even though for all intents and purposes except legally says "yeah, I raped him!". You've got a victim who's been arrested and accused despite the perpetrator's statement that she has been the one pressuring him and sexually harrassing him.

At this point, in India (and not just there I'd argue, but it's definitely one of the worst places) the rape of men by women has been legally and socially normalized, to the point there is plenty of cultural pushback against efforts to even make it illegal.

I believe the term for that is "rape culture". Despite knowing the term and it's definition since, you know, I've had it throw at me a bunch of times... It took me looking at exactly how much pushback there is opposing efforts to make it illegal to realize how culturally ingrained female rape really is...

Well, when the rape of men by women is so normalized a man defending himself (or even being a victim whom folded like a wet paper bag) from it is a crime, and there's not even a crime of rape in India. With how normalized it has become, again, to the point both fighting back and being victim of it are both crimes you can be prosecuted and convicted for... I'm not buying 50/50 split anymore. Not with the sheer opposition to making the laws gender neutral, let alone actually enforcing it. At the very least, it means the repeat offenders are free to keep offending forever.

Say what you will about men raping women (hard to prove? Under-prosecuted? Under-enforced?), not only is it illegal pretty much everywhere, but other than a bunch of people stirring up the pot to anger people and get some clicks and thus sweet, sweet ad revenue, the idea of making it legal is so far outside the Overton window no one other than people chasing after Herostratic Fame will even discuss it. On the other hand, while not completely outside the Overton window, the idea of making women raping men an actual crime of rape under legal statutes is certainly on the radical edge.
