Intersectionality basically means putting into account gender, race, sexual orientation, disabilities and so on ... just not how much money the person actually earns, how much power they have or how much discrimination and violence they actually face. And why not? Because most feminists are well earning middle- to upper-class women who never had any real problems in their life and wouldn't score well on this scale.

I think of intersectionality as another feminist tactic for creating divisions. In this case, as a straight white man, I have to check my privilege and then start salami slicing the experience, sorry, the lived experience of whomever I am listening to, so that I can then score them on the vicitim oppression richter scale, or whatever it is.

It's Marxist classwar with a big neon "+ gender" sign and then "+ race" scribbled on a postit note.

It's about upper middle class white women wanting to appropriate ALL narratives of oppression.

Intersectionality would be fine if it were adopted by honest people. Unfortunately, feminists got it instead and immediately turned it toward finding new ways to whine about imaginary oppression and attack people.

Intersectionality is just a cover for exclusionary Socialism. They have no problem with Capitalism and equality of opportunity. As long as it's straight white men doing the work and paying the taxes that support the various social services that these men are excluded from receiving.

Intersectional feminism is an exercise in denying that men can be oppressed just for being men: a man who makes up one of the 97% of workplace deaths in the UK wasn't oppressed because he was a man; he was oppressed because he was working-class (even though his female working-class cohorts made up only 3% of workplace deaths) . A man who committed sucide wasn't oppressed because of his gender, he was oppressed because he had a mental illness (even though women with suicidal thoughts are more likely to receive treatment). A boy with a tumultuous upbringing who ends up as a man in prison wasn't oppressed because he was a man, he was oppressed because he was black (even though his black sister had a stronger safety net that prevented her from having to resort to crime to survive).

The whole point of intersectionality is to deny and ignore male oppression and blame it on absolutely anything else.

It sounds good on face value, but what happens in reality is the practitioners immediately start carving out a 'privilege hierarchy'. "Oh your a black female... well I'm a black lesbian female, with mental disorders and I'm obese.... so you need to check your privilege."
I'd love to say I'm exaggerating, but it really does quickly become that ridiculous.

Just looking at those pictures, are they talking about micro aggression? Because that's all bullshit, to the point where a micro aggression is now defined as someone walking into a room full of mostly white people.
