First, I'm not saying that he was railroaded. I'm asking the question because I honestly don't know. This is one of the few places where you could even ask such a question without getting totally bashed. I read an article that said he got screwed over by Gloria Allred as a crooked lawyer. She brought in an "expert" who claimed that friendly and even love emails after an alleged rape or assault were not evidence against the woman being traumatized. Say what? Someone will write super friendly and happy emails after they've been raped? Bullcrap. Those kind of emails are what prevented the German dude from getting thrown out of Columbia when mattress girl falsely accused him. If someone is raped, the next day, she'll email to him, "Hey, sweetheart, I had a great time last night. Let's see each other again soon. Love you." Rrrriiiiiggghhhht. Some feminists have even demanded that emails and other correspondence be automatically deemed inadmissible in court. It's so absurd. Basically, they want to destroy any man's right to defend himself or to submit exculpatory evidence.

As I stated, I don't know for a fact that Weinstein got railroaded, but things keep coming up that will raise your eyebrow. If he did actually rape someone, then I have no sympathy for him and he got exactly what he deserved. And by "rape," I mean he forced someone to have sex against her will. I do not mean he offered her a part in a movie in exchange for sex and she took his offer of her own free will. That's not rape; that's prostitution, and it should be legal. I also do not mean they had some drinks and then she chose to have sex with him willingly. The consumption of alcohol does not render a sexual act rape if both participants chose the act. It's rape if the alcohol INCAPACITATED the person and then the other person had sex that could not have been consensual because the person was passed out.

Anyway, if anyone knows if Weinstein got railroaded or not, I'm interested. That article made it sound like he was, but I'm not sure if it's a reliable source or not.

Edit followup: OMG, I found the following info from a web page that speculated that he may be found not guilty. From this info, I think he should have been! Turns out there were only two accusers in the trial. The following paragraph is from the article, link afterwards. If this shit is true, this conviction is absurd and those two accusers are full of shit.

Jessica Mann claims she was raped but that afterwards she decided to have a relationship with him. After the alleged rape, she wanted him to meet her mother and, in a diary, described him as her casual boyfriend. She says she continued in the relationship because it would be a “benefit” to her. His other accuser Miriam Haley accepted flights, expensive hotel stays and gifts from him after the alleged attack and desperately tried to change a flight so she could meet him in London. She also signed emails to him “Lots of Love Miriam” after he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Both of the accusers maintained loving or business contact with Weinstein after their alleged assaults.
