Modest and sexy in the same sentence? Interesting choice of words.

I’d consider it sexual harassment if another man asked me to dress sexy for anything. I don’t see why changing the genders should change anything.

Yea. Although employers have some latitude in requesting certain professional attire, it’s easier to hire an agency to model products and be sex appeal at trad shows, etc.

You don’t interact directly with employees. Much less feminists who will always be a problem if they can get money out of it.

Sex is not a thing in your dojo. You hire professional agencies in that. Just like dating.

If the employer is asking an employee to dress sexy, I imagine that’s close to a slam dunk sexual harassment case. (Possible exception of the modeling industry)

As far as dressing up, I imagine part of the issue would be if the employer equally asks employees of both sexes to dress up or just applies the dress request to women. If the employer is asking women to dress up but not men, it’s clearly sex based discrimination.

It’s kind of a hard issue. The reality is sex sells. Both men and women often prefer an attractive, nicely dressed female receptionist for example. Catering to that however is considered discrimination, yet giving women more leave or letting them out of work early is considered fine. Discrimination in the workforce is very one sided. Dress codes are another example: they are often much more restrictive for men than for women but that’s considered acceptable.
