MGTOW is an ideology that practices social distancing from all women and encourages self improvement.

MRA's seek to inform the public about the injustices against men and to strive for equality of the sexes while still accurately representing males.

Hate should not be anywhere near either of these concepts.

I've been a lurker on both for a shortwhile. To me it seems that MR covers the broad scope of men's issues while MGTOW is concerned with issues surrounding dating, marraige, etc. Old MGTOW definitely does seem like a bit of a cesspool of hating women, but new MGTOW is better at holding true to its intended purpose of men building their empire.

For the most part this is a really tame sub

Not like mgtow incels etc

People seem chill for the most part and make some decent points

There are some similarities but this sub is definitely better. There's also r/MGTOW2 and r/MaleHaven. The latter is meant to be hate and drama free, however it's basically a dead sub. I'd really like to see it take off.

Edit: adding r/HealthyMasculinity to the list, another good one that needs help growing
