I think female supremacy and the constant shaming of men have always been the driving forces of feminism. Feminism is just a word. The drive for power and control is as old as the species.

I think feminism is a way for angry women to blame others for their anger. Typically if you go around angry all the time people don't appreciate it, but if you blame patriarchy nobody can stop you.

It's more closely related to a religion, members don't join because it's cool, they join because they are shamed if they don't. Once they are in the group they may think it's cool because they become the ones that are "allowed" to shame others for not sharing their beliefs with the infallible doctrine that "if you don't agree then you must hate women".

I find that a bit odd though, that if you don't agree with feminism, which totes itself as an equality movement for men and women (patriarchy hurts men too doncha know), that you specifically hate women. You don't hate equality, or a free society, you just hate women.

How do you define feminism?

Some would define it as a social justice cause, advocating for EQUAL, not special, treatment of women in the workplace, and end to sex trafficking (which, in the US, tends to use women more than men), and a society with less strict gender constructs. One of the most frustrating fights for a feminist is actually against other women - to tell people that women do not necessarily all like pink, flowery text, and "women only" events. Frustration towards a patriarchal society does not (or isn't supposed to) mean that women hate men.
