Very telling when the exact same thing happens with non professionals in places where questions are asked if a man or woman are being unreasonable.

Today, I came across a post where a man was asking if he was being unreasonable about setting boundaries with his ex wife. Every single reply were women assuming he was the bad guy in the situation, that if the ex wife made the post the story would be entirely different and that he was actually the bad guy and multiple people expecting him to go out of his way for a woman he was no longer involved with. Only one comment by a woman mentioned how if the poster was male, that all the replies would be on her side and saying good for her on setting boundaries with a man who no longer has a right to her life or her business.

Women are favoured in every situation.

This is a little different but it’s about bias in courtrooms

A study done by the university of Illinois gave over 300 judges a handful of cases. All almost identical except for gender. They found “Judges in the shared-custody case were more likely than laypeople to give a mother more time with a child than a father. The judges gave mothers, on average, about half a day more time with their children than they gave fathers. Laypeople awarded 0.15 of a day more time to mothers. The judges’ tendency to discriminate in this manner coincided with their traditional gender ideologies: The more they supported traditional gender roles for men and women, the more parenting time they gave to the mother in the case.”

“Overall, the judges and the laypeople both saw the woman’s case as having more merit than the man’s,” Miller said. “But the more the judges supported traditional gender roles, the more likely they were to rule against a woman plaintiff on the merits. In other words, decisions in the woman’s discrimination case were influenced by the judges’ personal ideologies about the proper roles for men and women.”

Here is a law firms findings “While this law no longer exists, there are still incidences of gender bias and child custody today. Whether this is due to society’s own placement of women as housekeepers and child-rearers or the bias of particular judges, mothers seem to benefit the most from child custody cases.”
