Only a certain kind of man would consider a mail-order bride. That type of man is not someone anyone should be trying to emulate. Because the reality is that when most men looking for mail order women talk about liking the 'traditional' woman, what is really meant by this is 'subservient'.

There is a (relatively) new law that allows a woman married to a US citizen to gain legal status in the US simply by claiming "domestic violence".

What this means is that, as soon as your bride enters the US, she can claim DV, and obtain legal status in the US (instead of waiting for you to finish sponsoring her green card). As expected, there is a whole cottage industry of lawyers dedicated to taking advantage of this new law.

Bottom line is: mail-order bride = bad idea. The most likely scenario is that you'll get scammed.

If you are interested in foreign women (and I don't blame you), I suggest that you move permanently to a more favorable foreign country, and never bring your wife back to the States. I have heard good things about the Philippines..

If you have some savings ($200k or more), this can be a very smart move: you can retire early, have a traditional wife, stay away from Western rape-me-in-the-ass family courts, and raise your kids in a healthier culture. (hint: credit card debt can't be collected while you and your assets are abroad.. just sayin')

I wouldn't go this route if I was you. Feminists got a law passed called IMBRA(google it) and it basically makes writing a love letter to a foreign woman a crime. It requires you to submit all sorts of personal information to her before you even send a email. I am like totes so happy there are no such thing as identity theft and scammers outside of amerika/s.

I do want to introduce you all to my buddy, he is a nigerian prince and just inherited a boat load of money and he simply has one lil problem but if you help him he will reward you with a cut of his inheritance. PM me if you're interested....;)

But seriously, the best thing to do would be to travel to various countries and meet the girls there and have fun. One of my old buddies dad and dads friends were all pilots. His dads buddy would work about six months out of every year and then go to a country for three or four months and live like a kind based on the exchange rates alone. He would find himself a few gfs in each country and then move back to work and then do it again in a new country.

I am seriously looking into becoming a pilot because they make around five figures and travel all the time and have hotels paid for them by the airline and they have flexible schedules and work caps and so on. If you want a fun easy job and aren't ten feet tall and don't have horrible eyes, look into it. Or maybe English as a Second Language, but be careful of scams cause I have heard bad things about some of the organizations that hire people.
