I do think this is quite the breakthrough, as recent years have had many reports about burn-outs and depressions becoming common illnesses due to the suicide of a well-known german football player and this is the next step.

The gist of the article: Men are statistically less depressed, yet are more likely to commit suicide (and have higher suicide rates) based on a "Male Health Report" put out by the Stiftung Männergesundheit (= "Male Health Foundation") and a health insurance.

Details are "family members and doctors ignore it", the authors of the report speaking of a "depression blindness" and the social stigma of having a psychological issue.
