Yeah, you know those "microaggressions" people complain about...
it's the little everyday reminders that you're a second class citizen, a lower form a life... that just really eat at you over time.

I don't believe in microagressions... It's not been proven to actually be a thing. So prove to me that it is and then we can have that discussion.

Yeah, I hate the word too; still, I'm not saying it's a new, undiscovered thing - I think it just gives a name to all the little ways people say and do things which clearly indicate exactly how they think of you. Things that, by themselves are just jokes or are so inconsequential as to be not worth the trouble of saying 'what the fuck?!', but taken together create a constant subtle reminder that you're not worth anything? Small dick jokes, women not wanting you around children, people assuming fathers with their children are up to no good and giving them dirty looks... etc, etc. I mean, is it really so hard to believe that if people tell you you're an awful person your whole life you might start to believe it?
I'm not saying it's not funny - I'm saying that it's important to understand why it's funny. Is it funny because it's something you're laughing at with the person making the joke; or, is it funny because you're the butt of the joke and you can either laugh or cry - and you'd rather laugh but you're actually hurt by it on some level?
I mean, imagine you were just dragged through the street and beat a false rape accusation after months of work and thousands of dollars in legal fees, and then you walked into a social setting and you see this nonsense. It's a personal thing, you know?

Small dick jokes can absolutely hurt, and I don't feel embarrassed to call out people when doing so. Often turning the joke around on them (but I've been doing stand-up in the past too, so I have a bit of an affinity for that kind of thing too).
Women not wanting you around children is a real issue though, not a joke. Same with people assuming the father is up to no good with their own children. These are not the same as a joke and shouldn't be lumped in with this discussion. I don't think you meant to equate the too, but that is what you are doing here.
"But you're actually hurt by it on some level?" - Some probably feel that way, sure. But I don't want to censor the whole world because some people are hurt by bad jokes.
Again, don't want to censor the world for a small group of people. (I don't minimize what these people are going through here, but they are a minority of a minority of a minority. They are not many people and I think most establishments will go their whole existence without having one person having gone through this walk through their doors.
You can absolutely boycott an establishment with this kind of a sign on their walls, but I don't REALLY see the big deal here.
HOWEVER! With all of this said, the roles where reversed then boy would there be hell to pay for it! The media is ripe with these kinds of tropes of the woman that knows all and does everything (Simpsons, Family Guy, King of Queens, Honeymooners) but I also see a shift happening, slowly.

The issue is we all know damn well that if the sign said "Men are always right" there would be an organized protest against the business. The double standard ruins the joke.
I agree with the double standard issue... I still don't see the big deal with this sign.

Honestly, I think its just a marriage joke. Ive seen this on bathrooms a thousand times and I think its just a joke about small conflicts in a marriage (ex. BBQ one more block down when husband is lost, been around for decades.)
