Mandatory Paternity testing?

I don't believe it should be mandatory. Seems like just another government intrusion into our private lives. However, I think it should be strongly suggested.

Just make it a requirement to be listed as a father(on the birth certificate). If you also make it difficult to claim tax exemptions and benefits without a declared father it should be just as good as mandatory(close to what we have now) while still giving the option for avoidance.

I don't see a hospital's responsibility to the actions of people making children other than to deliver the baby and monitor their health there after.

After all, a hospital has thousands of patients to tend to, so the patients' social behavior is on the patients.

Hospitals make sure the baby goes home with the correct mother, right? Why not extend that same due diligence to fathers? Why shouldn't they get the same equal treatment? Hmmm?
