Source for 8x suicide rate? I've seen that a few times on here lately, it is wildly untrue but I'd be interested to know the source.

Some ratios:
0.9x China 1.8x Global
3.0 typical in English speaking countries and western Europe
3.5 US now
4.0x US before gun purchase laws were tightened in early 90s.
5-6.5x ex CIS / Soviet states.
I don't know if 8x has ever happened anywhere.
