"Men only benefit from having kids"

I'm not going to link the sub or the poster, but I recently saw a poster make the comment "men only benefit from having kids".

I called them out on making such a ridiculous statement, and a shitstorm ensued. I even cited the important role that my father played in my own life and how he busted his ass to make sure that I have a better life than what he had when he was my age. Instead of conceding the important role that fathers played, just more denigration.

This is the same kind of attitude as the infamous "women are the primary victims of war." I can't take people seriously when they have this level of delusion. This is what we're dealing with folks.
