M(23) guy I was getting to know F(22) my age / F(20) girl he ended up dating. Do men really choose a women based on their current lifestyle even if she’s not the best option and not saying in any way physical or mental just going based of matturity and age not trying to degrade women. I found myself in what I though a very mature relationship with a friend of mine, we were getting to know each other really well but it seemed like he wasn’t ready for change in his life and I never pushed him nor insisted for change but motivated him when I could, after a few months I decided to give what could be a possible relationship space and time because I am driven by faith.

We both recently graduated last year from college and had lots of crazy changes in our life’s, also some economical burdens and lived some distance away. He sometimes expressed how I had a much more complex lifestyle than him and he was not ready to fill his cup yet or it would take longer. I would say we both were going through our process at different speeds which was understandable. Recently I found out he’s began dating a younger girl. Maybe this younger girl is amazing but is this an ego thing for him or did he just pick a girl based on logic like which relationship was easier to manage and fit in his current life. Also really hope he’s happy because at the end of the day he was a great friend who helped me heal a lot of wounds and create healthy cycles, truly wish him the best overall but I want to see if this is normal man thinking because he told me he dated to marry. Some other details, he used to also have patterns of him wanting to change and doing new healthy habits, got me closer to faith but also deleted his social medias which instantly gave me bad vibes but also not because I also stopped using social media some time back to have mental peace.
