If you’ve been around for a while you’re likely familiar with the fact that men get harsher sentences for the same crimes as women. I would like to address three reasons why this is true but the focus for me mostly is around my third point.

  1. Women are seen as the victim in some form always. Therefore even if she committed a crime it’s typically because of other factors we need to understand and accept with forgiveness such as an abusing husband or boyfriend.

  2. Child birth and the associations that go along with being a mother. Removing to many women from the population is bad for growth and what those new people (assets) bring.

  3. Men are seen as inherently bad. Women have high standards at least more so than many men. When men are in jail they cannot be taking up any woman’s time or having sex with any women because he’s imprisoned.

Also due to the sanctions being a convicted criminal bring -criminal record -damages reputation substantially for most women

-reduced employment opportunities -less money

These are all things that both primary features in a man that matter far more to men than women. I’m sure there are more than a few desperate men that would take a lady who got out after 6 years for homicide if she was opening her legs for him.

Yeah this can happen the other way around like with the united healthgroup ceo. But that guy was reasonably attractive and the media made him famous for his politically motivated attack. (This isn’t about this so please don’t write about it here. )

All those other dudes who commit crimes are avoided like the plague.

So I see this last reason is to in a time when men have more expected of them than every and so many women placing so much emphasis on the value a man brings to her life and then making him so much less viable to any women via the judicial system and how it’s setup.

I’m rather high so I didn’t edit this. I look forward to your constructive and abusive criticism. Please try to be funny whichever road you take.
