I've seen this screen cap posted at least twice in the last week.

I'd rather have the police investigate a crime of misogyny than a burglary

That's the supposed title of the article by Suzanne Moore and I'm pretty sure plenty of us would get angry about something so blatantly sexist.

The actual title of the article is:

The article is heavy on the "women are victims", "men are abusers", and "misogyny is a hate crime" mentality.

The closest quote in the article I found matching the misleading title is this:

When it comes down to priorities, I would rather the police investigate a man threatening my daughter on the bus than whether a car has been scratched.

And you know what? I can actually agree with that. Threatening a person bodily harm should have more importance than a parked car getting scratched.

Yet what that OP posted is misleading and we can't be letting that slide. If we want to discuss the merits of the article after reading it that's great, because it's an absolute fucking winner. If we just sit here raging at part of a screen cap we look like fucking idiots.
