This study run by a woman found the usual feminist myths it was looking for. Male suicide is due to men's personality traits, masculinity and emotional illiteracy. What a surprise that a woman finds the reason men kill themselves is this woman's foul sexist attitudes to masculinity. Also contributing, because it's too hard to hide with pretzel logic, challenges of mid-life, relationship breakdown, and socio-economic factors.

The first one about less well off men really hits hard. I grew up working class, but managed to go to uni and get a good job. All the working class men I grew up are struggling and treated like shit.

samaritans are a joke

it is well known that they are not interested in supporting men( even I can see they have been forced to include men). their own "volunteers" carry their own bias which should have been removed years ago.

if they had any brains then they could have asked MIND who would explained the suicide factors for middle age men.. because they have to do an assessment of their clients every time they go in for counselling( the non exclusive list of factors include abuse, family courts, marital breakdown with its accompanying abuse, false allegations, societal denigration of men etc)

or they could have ask the welsh assembly who did a report into the factors affecting men such as the ignorance and indifference from support organisations, the bias from the police and the judiciary.

they could even try looking at why the organisation SHELTER has become so biased in favour of women despite men being the overwhelming majority of homeless. The answer is that they employed polly neate former head of women aids to run shelter and so you can guess the bias that came with her..

many of these organisations( including multiple charities) are not fit for purpose since they have grown stale , outdated in their views and bias and become politicised in their quest for more funding, and "jobs" for people at the top of the organisation who couldnt perform or survive in the private sector
