I could be wrong and I realize the investigation is ongoing, but right now I believe she did it and Burton was the victim.

He initially called the police and said she was trying to kill him. Even if he’s denying it now, many victims do go back to their abusers again and again. One of the biggest frustrations in getting someone out of an abusive relationship is the fact that the victim often doesn’t want to leave after things have cooled down.

Caroline’s ex said he’s not at all surprised she’s being charged with assault either.
