so there are barely any "true" feminists? Like I said the majority is fine with it, you just have to look at the rest of reddit, Twitter and also in universities etc.

feminism is flawed because it is about making women better than men, it hasn't been about equality for decades now.

Well western society in that type did the most important inventions and discoveries & was overall strong for a very long time. As soon as we gave power to feminists we have people turning into sensitive pussies who get offended over everything, anti white agenda, people being confused about their gender, sexism against men etc.

So yeah things were way better before. Hell even in the 80s-early 2000s things were pretty normal but since then things have only gotten worse with no end in sight

I think your making a general accusation based on what you have personally seen on the internet.

Most feminists are ‘true’ feminists, the one who blow it out of wack just get more publicity due to their opinions.

And I would just like to point out how important feminism is. Oddly enough, I’d rather have my voice herd than be silenced. My opinion is strong and valid, and I deserve to have it herd, as do you. Everyone is fully entitled to their own opinions.

And I hope you know how wrong that last paragraph is. I do understand what you are saying, but a large number of society’s modern day important tools have been made by women of colour.

Your idea of everyone becoming ‘pussies’ is just because there are people now disagreeing with the way you think. That may piss you off to read that but oh well. Society did not become weak when women got their voices herd. Not even remotely. Just try, to think about how you would genuinely feel if you were in that position.

I’m also not sure what you mean by ‘anti white agenda’.

Its not just the internet..radical feminists have taken over schools, universities, entertainment etc. and push their anti men agenda everywhere. Hell most shows, movies etc. these days have weak male characters and instead smug "strong" female characters. And tons of men believe that they are always at fault and are basically brainwashed now.

Even if they aren't the majority since most feminists are fine with them and never say anything against their bs they are just as bad. Hell sub is seen as an incel alt right sub by the rest of reddit while MensLib which is all about women telling men who to behave is seen as the "real" MRA sub. That says everything. Women have had it great in the west for decades now but for feminists it wasn't enough so they kept pushing and this latest wave of feminism is 100% anti men and about women superiority.

Like I said there was a fine balance in the 80s-early 2000s and I didn't complain that women were "heard". Now its too much and men are in that position right now, MRA are not heard by anyone and have zero influence

Society is 100% weak right now, western society has regressed in the last decade

in all honesty, i’m not really sure what having a weak male character or a strong female character proves. all that is doing is showing different types of people instead of just stereotypical strong man weak women. but that doenst mean they can’t both be strong, and even if a women looks strong and a man looks weak, they can both still be nice and interesting characters with a lot of respect for each other. i really don’t see how this is proving your point in any way. there’s still plenty of movies with strong men, and if you have a problem with directors creating films with different types of people then just don’t watch them, no ones forcing you. i will say tho, tv shows and movies are often meant to imitate life, whether it’s obvious or not, their roots start in the real world. there’s lots of different types of people who live on the planet and i really don’t know how seeing a strong women in a movie is a harm to you in any way

So what you're saying is that you, a commenter using a username on an internet forum are the true feminist, and the feminists actually responsible for changing the laws, writing the academic theory, teaching the courses, influencing the public policies, and the massive, well-funded feminist organizations with thousands and thousands of members all of whom call themselves feminists... they are not "real feminists".

I've been investigating feminism for more than 9 years now, and people like you used to piss me off, because to my mind all you were doing was providing cover and ballast for the powerful political and academic feminists you claim are just jerks. And believe me, they ARE jerks. If you knew half of what I know about the things they've done under the banner of feminism, maybe you'd stop calling yourself one.

But I want you to know. You don't matter. You're not the director of the Feminist Majority Foundation and editor of Ms. Magazine, Katherine Spillar, who said of domestic violence: "Well, that's just a clean-up word for wife-beating," and went on to add that regarding male victims of dating violence, "we know it's not girls beating up boys, it's boys beating up girls."

You're not Jan Reimer, former mayor of Edmonton and long-time head of Alberta's Network of Women's Shelters, who just a few years ago refused to appear on a TV program discussing male victims of domestic violence, because for her to even show up and discuss it would lend legitimacy to the idea that they exist.

You're not Mary P Koss, who describes male victims of female rapists in her academic papers as being not rape victims because they were "ambivalent about their sexual desires" (if you don't know what that means, it's that they actually wanted it), and then went on to define them out of the definition of rape in the CDC's research because it's inappropriate to consider what happened to them rape.

You're not the National Organization for Women, and its associated legal foundations, who lobbied to replace the gender neutral federal Family Violence Prevention and Services Act of 1984 with the obscenely gendered Violence Against Women Act of 1994. The passing of that law cut male victims out of support services and legal assistance in more than 60 passages, just because they were male.

You're not the Florida chapter of the NOW, who successfully lobbied to have Governor Rick Scott veto not one, but two alimony reform bills in the last ten years, bills that had passed both houses with overwhelming bipartisan support, and were supported by more than 70% of the electorate.

You're not the feminist group in Maryland who convinced every female member of the House on both sides of the aisle to walk off the floor when a shared parenting bill came up for a vote, meaning the quorum could not be met and the bill died then and there.

You're not the feminists in Canada agitating to remove sexual assault from the normal criminal courts, into quasi-criminal courts of equity where the burden of proof would be lowered, the defendant could be compelled to testify, discovery would go both ways, and defendants would not be entitled to a public defender.

You're not Professor Elizabeth Sheehy, who wrote a book advocating that women not only have the right to murder their husbands without fear of prosecution if they make a claim of abuse, but that they have the moral responsibility to murder their husbands.

You're not the feminist legal scholars and advocates who successfully changed rape laws such that a woman's history of making multiple false allegations of rape can be excluded from evidence at trial because it's "part of her sexual history."

You're not the feminists who splattered the media with the false claim that putting your penis in a passed-out woman's mouth is "not a crime" in Oklahoma, because the prosecutor was incompetent and charged the defendant under an inappropriate statute (forcible sodomy) and the higher court refused to expand the definition of that statute beyond its intended scope when there was already a perfectly good one (sexual battery) already there. You're not the idiot feminists lying to the public and potentially putting women in Oklahoma at risk by telling potential offenders there's a "legal" way to rape them.

And you're none of the hundreds or thousands of feminist scholars, writers, thinkers, researchers, teachers and philosophers who constructed and propagate the body of bunkum theories upon which all of these atrocities are based.

Tell me, on what authority do you make this claim?

The point of feminism is not to make women better than men.

Feminists like to claim that their movement is about "equality" and often use the dictionary definition as proof.

But what the dictionary says and what feminism and feminists do are two completely different things.

Actions speak louder than words, therefore feminism and feminists should be judged by what it and they do instead of what the dictionary definition says.

And through its actions the feminist movement has constantly shows that it isn't about equality, but is actually about female privilege and misandry - a skewed system in women's favour, seeking superior rights & privileges for women, demonising men & boys. It is very obvious that "equality" is nothing more than a mask that the feminist movement uses to conceal its female privilege and anti-male agendas.

Ok, yes.. there ARE nasty men out there.. but at the same time when you have feminists making sweeping generalized statements towards men like "All men are potential rapists" or saying "You know what I think.. I think we should #KillAllMen" or using terms like Manspreading, Manterrupting, Mansplaining or Toxic Masculinity to deliberately degrade and insult men.. its no wonder that some men might just have enough and snap and say some not nice things about women..

Yes we need to call out Misogyny when it occurs, just as we should call out racism or ageism but at the same time.. until Feminists start calling out Misandry when it occurs in their ranks nothing much is going to change..

If Feminists want equality then for equality's sake we need to be calling out Misogyny AND Misandry.. to only call out Misogyny is not equality.

Yes I agree. It is important to treat both sides the same. The whole point of equality is to have everyone be equal, not have one better than the other. And in order to do that it is important to call out things being said towards both genders.

On the all men are rapists point, rapist is a very heavy term and not one to use lightly. I myself am a woman, and I constantly fear of being attacked by a man. But that’s because one in three woman get sexually assaulted in their life times, which is way too high of a number. So what I’m trying to say is I think that is what some women mean when they say that. The chances are too high, so therefore it’s too risky for our own safety to assume that no one around us would objectify us. But, this does not mean that the term rapist should be used in these scenarios. I hope that made sense

The point i'm trying to make is when you see woman making the statement "All men are potential rapists" despite how true that may be.. for many men who have never and would never EVER rape another woman or man.. it feels like we're all being lumped together with the minority of men who have / would.. and it's not fair to do that to us..

Its no different to a man saying "All women are potential cheaters" implying that all women have not only the ability but drive to cheat on their partners.. I'm pretty sure there are many women who would never think about cheating on their partner and would be offended at being lumped in with all the women who do..

Its not fair to label all members of a particular gender based on the actions of a small few within that gender..

That's the point I was trying to make.
