I was wondering what the statistics were on the use of corporal punishment (frequency/severity) on boys vs girls and the differences between the way parents discipline boys and girls in general. I know that corporal punishment is schools is still legal in most states and that 80% of cases of corporal punishment are boys but for discipline at home, I can't find anything.

slight tangent, in general I think more focus needs to be done on the way boys are girls are raised since so much of our attitudes toward ourselves and the opposite sex come from it.
