What gets me the most is the bystander at the end. He laughs when it's the man getting abused, but as soon as the man has the "nerve" to stand up for himself, he attacks the man!

It's basically ingrained in society that men can never be victims, while women are perpetually victims.

My martial arts instructor is a doorman/bouncer, well was. He use to tell me that women and disabled people were the fucking worse. They would hit, spit and be extremely violent thinking that no one would do anything to them. He use to knock them on their ass. He said that his face had been torn apart by a women's nails on time for instance, and if it had been near his eye he'd have been seriously injuried.

The lesson is this. If you hit someone bigger and stronger than you, and you expect because that they are bigger and stronger than you that you won't get hit, you are fucking delusional.

These videos are powerful, but fall slightly short. In the name of social experimentation, the creators of the scenario should attempt to interview the bystanders as to why the refrained fom assisting the male victim, yet got involved as soon as the male rightfully defended himself. This would shed light on the behaviour and hopefully get people to think further than You don't hit women.
