This seems overblown? Not that it’s not bad. But since 2000 levels of PFOS and PFOA in the blood have dropped dramatically. And aren’t obesity and sedentary lifestyles the major cause of lower fertility levels?

Do some digging into this article....the fertility rates have dropped since 1964 by half. Think about what was happening prior to 1964...2 world wars, the cold war, threat of nuclear attack. Wouldn't that drive humans to have more children to replace who was lost? The reality is that families just aren't having as many kids. Fewer people get married. Fewer people even want families. They even say that widespread availability of contraception, cultural changes, and economic factors come into play. People just don't have large families anymore because they don't need 10 kids to help run the farm.

Also - it mentions genital abnormalities in boys. Reading that article, it talks about contributing factors being maternal alcohol consumption, gestational diabetes, and nicotine substitutes (vaping?). This could point back to mental health issues, especially when it relates to addiction, which is rampant across all of the developed world in both sexes.

That headline had words in it to catch attention (sperm and penises), and there isn't a tremendous amount of science to back up what they're saying that humanity is doomed.

But, to a degree, it does seem to focus on male biology as being the biggest factor for whatever reason. Well, if the mom's biology is screwed up, I guess they can't have healthy male children either.
