Women getting the right to vote after men is an oft touted piece of "evidence" that women were oppressed; so far what I've seen used to respond to this topic amounts to noting the draft, execution for draft dodging up until three years before women's suffrage, and to point out that men only received universal suffrage a bit earlier than women. Personally, I like to go a step further and point out that men only got the right to vote in 1973 (the last draft), and that it was only official from 1975 to 1980 when Carter revived the Selective Service Act... but I digress.

Looking for a quote to provide another user, I stumbled upon a lot of historical anti-suffrage documents (I'm not against women voting, just to get that out of the way); and, aside from being mostly written by women, they all had one thing in common, they mentioned female privilege - you know, that thing which modern feminists say is a myth?

Thus far we have made a few crude experiments in double suffrage, but nowhere has equal suffrage been tried. So, I figured it would be good to have a list of those privileges! Obviously exemption from the military and immunity under law for crimes, not having to work, women and children first, etc... but what else can you guys think of? I'd like to avoid simple social privilege like opening doors.
