Before I was reddit savvy, I made the mistake (because I am a man) of commenting on a r/twoxxchromosone post about a woman complaining about her sister getting mad over the fact that she had been telling her son how pretty he was and asking him if she could have some of his pretty. I posted something along the lines of what would you have to say if you saw a father telling his daughter how handsome she was and asking her to give him some of her handsome. I got down voted obviously and learned that what I had to say wasn't welcome there.
