I was blind to double standard like this in the news, but now I see it all the time. It's just another subtile way society tells males that females are more important. I don't think I can stomach to vote Hillary anymore, thanks to this subredit.

At least there was the assumption of the possibility a girl was the culprit, although I doubt if it had been boys only anyone would have brought it up.

It's quite shocking that the girls were treated equally to the boys. I would have gambled on just the boys being searched, with the girls being questioned only.

Just a few decades ago, high schools forced boys to swim naked during gym (not girls), and many schools removed bathroom stall doors in only the boys restrooms.
