It exposes the double standards in society's response. A man would be destroyed and made a pariah. But what's more interesting is the man took steps to keep her out of legal consequences. I had to do that with my ex. Keep her out of jail. It's a male trait predominantly. I find women want to punish their partners physically and/or legally. Men are less likely to do that in terms of instigating physicality and involving law enforcement. His response is the real interesting thing here. Her response to go bat shit lunatic over something that doesn't impact her body or her rights - even if true that he was cheating - is standard behavior, par for the course, nothing to see here for women like her - all bravado and ego and self absorption.
