Uhm. When you started crowing about equality. That's when. When you said "Hey, we want equality!" those guys who thought it was a good idea decided to give you the full measure of it. Because anything less would not be equality. Welcome to it.

Protip: Women entering the workforce essentially diluted the pool, there by giving employers the negotiating power to drive down wages. So. We have less money to spend on you. As an egalitarian, I support women's entrance into the workforce under equal conditions but, y'all gotta recognize. There are necessarily going to be "downsides".

The "you have to put effort in guys" is probably what bothered me the most about this whole thing. The fact that she's counting lipstick as her putting effort for something, which she strictly does for herself(most guys probably couldn't care less), while ignoring all the little things that men would have to do for themselves or just to meet the countless expectations of women(everything from hitting the gym and grooming, to changing their entire personalities just to please women, to spending more than they can afford on an expensive car to not look like a deadbeat, to even pursuing a career they might not even have any interest in simply to be able to afford women's entitlements).

And that's not even going into the whole social expectation side and the shit men have to do to even get to that first date. Fact is, men already put more than enough effort to meet women. Respecting yourself, and your date, enough to pay your own way isn't really too much to ask. It's not a man's job to pay for your shit, just because he's a man. You work. You are(or should be) an independent adult. It's also not a "man's job" to ask for the date; nor is it to plan it; nor is it to carry it all the way through. You are an equal participant, take control of your agency. This ridiculous differentiation that women like this make in their head between a "date" and "meet" is also bullshit. A "date" is two people meeting and trying to get to know each other, that's it. You don't need a special context, or romantic implications, to suddenly start being romantically involved with someone. If you can't make a natural transition between friendship to love, or platonic relation to infatuated/sexual relation, because of some situational hangup, there's something wrong with you.

I mean, seriously, it's like men are building three-quarters of a bridge that most women don't even appreciate and don't want to build themselves, and they still ask for more. How is that enticing to any men? I mean, sure, most men eventually learn to deal with it and accept that this is the way it is if they want to have sex, but this is not a good way for women to treat men. Show men that their love, time and interest is worth just as much as yours is. Make an effort to approach them, engage them and embrace them. Don't put the entire onus of the date on men and take responsibility for yourselves. It's pretty sad, if not even pathetic, to see how many women actually do still behave in this completely narcissistic and entitled way when it comes to dating(I would say somewhere around 70 to 80% of women, online or offline, are still like this), and how many men are just too scared or too desperate cater to this dynamic.

I don't think it is hypocrisy. Her position is appalling, but not really hypocritical. Well, unless she also supports feminism. But, apparently she doesn't.
