Now I just heard about this but I want to get your guys' take. Especially for those who don't disagree with what he said, how would you talk about it with someone who's reaction is what he said is abhorrent and shameful? Keep in mind you're not talking to a feminist or anyone, just a regular mild mannered person.

Background from what I know: Stephen A Smith is a sports broadcaster/Host/Personality on ESPN. He is pretty strong in his convictions though I wouldn't characterize him as extreme in any way. He's just not afraid of speaking how he feels. Last Friday he was commenting on the Ray Rice story. Ray Rice for those who don't know is a starting NFL running back with the Baltimore Ravens and there was a video of him dragging his unconcious girlfriend out of a casino elevator. Allegedly they got into a mutual altercation (i think physical by both parties) and I guess he knocked her out.

Here is what Stephen had to say about it on his show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDzWvHhgTrY&feature=youtu.be

Cue ensuing shitstorm. Cue apology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWgPh8JlOXs.
