To preface this, I'm not transphobic and my focus on this post is squarely on people, especially young people, who have had negative experiences with ftm transitions for the reasons described below.
Look, I understand that most people and society in general aren't going to care about Men's Issues on any meaningful scale, so I honestly think that if we started mentioning how many young women who decide to transition to being male who then later admit that they did it because they were told that they would be better off as men because of the supposed "male privilige" and then absolutely regret it and are often left with irreversible health complications, we could put some more focus onto how telling women that they are oppressed and that men have it better also hurts many women this way.
Recently I have seen a few Youtube videos with people talking about this, except these people, as well as the ftm detrans people themselves will often blame the "trans agenda" rather than the feminists who lied to them and told them that they would be the beneficiaries of the supposed patriarchy if they transitioned and that they would no longer be opresseed becuase of their gender or that they'd no longer be bothered or harrassed as men, and when they eventually find out that none of that is actually true and that men have it harder in almost every aspect of life they will still often refuse to blame the feminists, and I think that this is an area where if we put efforts into calling them out for that it would actually help with getting rid of the anti-male propagnada.
I fully understand that feminists are willing to throw a few individuals under the bus in order to get what they want and they are already trying their best to blame pro-trans activists for it, However I think if we highlighted how some of these young women are sufferrng and the fact that they are often left with permanent physical damage even though they wouldn't actually transition if they weren't told those things we would have more of a chance at getting the teaching of feminism banned from schools and have it replaced with a more factual curriculum that doesn't tell kids that men have it easier in life or that they don't suffer from SA.
So what do you think? I genuienly think that we could achieve far more progress this way as society is still far more likely to care about the young women who vent through that than men, we just have to turn the people who are angry about it towards attacking feminism rather than transgender rights.
