God, the comments section of that was a disaster area. "Remove burden of proof for rape"...so...let's just remove the need to prove someone, who should be innocent until proven otherwise, innocent. Yeah, sure.

The basic idea behind the concept is that there is a widespread tolerance of rape at Cornell and other universities, largely because society teaches men to disregard the importance of the consent of women in sexual encounters.

To those who believe in “rape culture,” rape is not the result of a few bad actors, but is tolerated, even encouraged, in our college culture.
