We'd need hard data to be sure. You (all of us) are far too susceptible to selection bias and/or confirmation bias to make a trustworthy conclusion.

As a side note: this is the real innovation and strength of science as a tool; it lets us step outside our bias and see closer to reality.

You'd have to look at who calls more, for one. I've never listened to much radio but on the rare occasions I do the vast majority of callers are female. But it's probably just an issue of confirmation bias.

Seriously though...the possibility exists, but you go to a different town and radio contests may be won by males only. The prize being offered and the target audience plays a big role too. If the majority of the station's listeners are female and the prize is something a larger %age of women will want and more women enter the contest...odds are higher that a woman will win.
