UK average working hours per week | Statista

I'm Australian, but I have heard from one random internet stranger on this site that feminism is a huge problem in the UK. Would you agree or disagree with that assessment, if you are from the UK ?

From the article :

"497 million hours for males, and 344 million hours for females in the
three months to May 2020, a decline of 125 million and 85 million
respectively when compared with the start of the year. In the most
recent month, the overall number of hours worked by males was 598.1
million, and 428.6 million for females."

Doesn't this make sense though? It's more common for women to raise children and for men to earn the income for the house? Plus, it looks like the hours worked by women is increasing faster than the rate for men. I'm no statistics guy, but If the trend continues, men and women should be equal in hours worked within the next few decades?

This is kind of the result of ye old "housewife" trend. Hope to see it dead within the next century. Also keep in mind, this chart isn't counting parenting as "hours of work", which it certainly is.
