Hello again,

I posted a couple of months ago on here about my case and wanted to give you all an update. First, I want to thank all of you who took the time to write me kind words of encouragement. It meant a lot to me, as I was suffering.

To recap:

I was a successful man by all accounts. Successful lawyer, boat, cars and very involved in my community. One day I met a woman on tinder and we agreed to meet for drinks. We hit it off and she asked to head back to my place. While at my place, she asks me to be rough with her and degrade her. I’ve never been into rough sex but agreed to because she asked. She asked me to spit in her mouth and choke her among other things. So I obliged.

Next morning she asks me for sweatpants and shirt. Asks me to drive her home so I did. A few days later, there’s an arrest warrant and Im charged with 5 felonies, including 3 counts of rape. I was facing the rest of my life in prison for something I didn’t do.

She told police that I had raped her and also strangled and spit all over her. She described a horrific violent rape to police.

My arrest hit all the news outlets. l lost everything. My career, my reputation, my house, my boat, all my life savings went into legal fees and to keep me afloat. I waited almost 3 years for my day in court. 3 years to defend myself.

Well I had my trial this week. We presented her rape kit and medical exam. Nurses and doctors found ZERO injuries during their exam conducted the next day after the alleged rape. No bruising, no tears to vagina, no scratches, no bumps. Absolutely nothing.

When she testified, there were at least a dozen inconsistencies in her story.

Defense attorneys rarely put their clients on the stand. But my lawyer believed me when I said I was innocent and put me on the stand. I was finally able to defend myself and say what actually happened.

Yesterday afternoon, the defense rested and the case went to the jury. Jury deliberated for 20 minutes. I was found innocent of all charges. The “victim” didn’t even stay for the verdict. What a coward.

So today I’m a free man. For the last 3 years, my body was free but my mind was in prison. Constantly worrying that I’d be convicted of something I didn’t do. Now I don’t even know how to get my life back but I’ll at least try.

Thank you all for the support and well wishes. They really helped me keep going.
