Jesus Christ, at 4 years old? It's bad enough when you're young enough to not remember, but holy hell, this seems like a good way to fast track lasting emotional and physical trauma.

Edit: I'd also like to see what American news sources are saying about this, if anything at all.

This is one of those cases where its hard to believe what you're reading. I don't understand the mentality of the judge at all. I can only assume the father is Jewish and devout. Similarly I assume the judge is taking the medical evidence as gospel. This could be a situation where the mother is doing something just to spite the father but I guess I'd prefer the boy not genitally mutilated either way.

Also this:

In an interesting twist in the story, attorneys for the Sun Sentinel, a Florida newspaper covering the story, filed an emergency motion seeking to declare the order as unconstitutional. As the newspaper reported on its legal efforts, the court “denied the motion, ruling it did not fit the definition of an emergency because it didn't involve ‘matters of life and death or instances of irreparable harm.’”

It's not irreparable harm? Then I guess the court can reattach that foreskin later.

He has phimosis, it makes sense for fuck sake, prison sentance no, but the dumb bitch shouldn't have stopped it, I've had phimosis and had to get circumcised at 16 after nearly tearing my foreskin when losing my v card, the shit is so uncomfotable to piss or cum when its that tight.

Ok, the reactions here are not what I expected. The mother kidnapped her son to prevent him from being treated for phimosis. The title is extremely misleading.
