There is nothing wrong with elective circumcision. The problem is with infant circumcision.

It is a violation of body autonomy. There is a permanent surgical procedure being done to a child who cannot consent. The risks and irreversability outweigh any miniscule benefits obtained by mutilating the genitals without consent.

It is child rape with knives. It has been proven to have horrific complications. A 100% chance of additional risks from performing the procedure (including death, bleeding, meatal stenosis [as high as 1 out of 10]), outweigh any tiny marginal benefits somebody might have from it. It has been proven only to be a medical farce to impose brutal sadistic pedophilic child rape on society.

If you wanted to sexually suppress and violate a man as much as possible without making it literally impossible for him to have children, circumcision is the best way to do it.

There are no health benefits from circumcision, the vast majority of claims for health benefits are completely made up, and the few that are backed up use intentionally flawed and biased studies. Removing the foreskin on a boy is the physiological equivalent of removing the clitoral hood and labia on a girl. It removes the most sensitive nerves on both their bodies, it causes permanent irritation and decreases of sensitivity that only get worse with time in the same physiological equivalent places, and they both wound the person for life.

What's more, is that both victims of male and female genital cutting usually claim they are just fine and that there is nothing wrong with it. Because if a part of your body was stolen from you at birth, you can't possibly know what you're missing.
