Where do you get the idea that men are usually treated unfairly in divorces? I believed it to be quite the opposite, especially considering that wives are generally the ones to leave the workforce to take care of the child-rearing and household.

I don't think it is really talking about men's rights issues.

It is taking something men have noticed "marriage isn't worth it" and then trying to say "marriage is worth it! You just have to beat the odds! Yay!"

This guy makes a great point. If you can find a woman who isn't a complete emotional, financial drain and knows how to contribute to a household, then yeah, marriage is financially worthwhile.

I have met such a woman once in my life. And yes, she was very happily married.

Kinda men's rights issues and some worthy points anyway.

If you can find a partner you trust then your earnings will increase significantly while your living expenses remain the same.

On the otherhand a divorce can and will destroy a man financially (especially when you add child support to this). Men quite often commit suicide because of this.

The real issue is that no one should be in a position where someone else can legally ruin your life.
